ECS is a former operating division of Electronic Label Technology (ELT).  ELT began business as a printing service bureau in 1980. Headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, ELT began providing bar-code shelf labels to the retail grocery store industry. Today, ELT is one of the nation’s largest cut-sheet labelstock and signage software providers, servicing most of the retail market.

Initially one of several ELT divisions, the ECO Elite compatible toner cartridge manufacturing operation (now ECS) was spawned in response to customer demand. In 1995, when ELT clients petitioned for an alternative to high-priced Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) laser toner cartridges, the solution-oriented company responded with a new and innovative way to manufacture higher quality toner cartridges, while supplying them at a much lower price than the OEM.

Through years of continued dedication and process improvements, ELT developed a high quality product with a large amount of success. ECS continues that tradition to improve, revolutionize, and hone its manufacturing processes and procedures. ECS is now one of the premier manufacturers in the cartridge industry, experiencing phenomenal success with its ECO Elite branded product and contract manufacturing services. It is the continued success of the ECO Elite division that gave way to the fruition of the ECS spin-off, and now this separation allows both ELT and ECS to follow independent strategies in their respective industries.
